Oh, endings! They are such beautiful and terrible things! I have just now had to say goodbye to one of my most beloved book series, the Heroes of Olympus series, which thus ended officially the Percy Jackson series (which I have always called Rick Riordan's Greek/Roman mythology series, anyway). That's right! I'm talking about "Blood of Olympus"! And no, I won't be giving away any spoilers... well at least I'll try not to. Anyway, I about cried in the middle of my college library when I reached the end of it! I am not disappointed at all, but I'm just so sad that it's over! I didn't want it to end! Rich Riordan is such an amazing author! I love his writing, books, characters, the whole shah-bang! If you ever get the chance to read his books, don't pass it up! I am dying to get my hands on his Egyptian mythology series, the Kane Chronicles... but first I have to steal it from my sister, Sydney... Having two Riordan fans in the house is a blessing and a curse. I'm just glad that I managed to finish the Heroes of Olympus books before Kendra finished the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and Madison got started on the "Lost Hero"! Before too long, all four of us will be Riordan fans! Whoopee! But for all the Riordan fans out there, never fear! Rick is not finished in his writing career! First of all, "Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes" is coming out August 2015, so we're not quite finished with Percy, yet. And a new series is coming out called Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard! The Norse mythology series will kick off October 6th, 2015 with "The Sword of Summer". I'm so excited for this series, particularly because of the connection between Annabeth CHASE and Magnus CHASE (I will leave it at that). Do you enjoy Rick Riordan's books? Any Percy Jackson fans out there? How did you like the conclusion with "Blood of Olympus"? Any thoughts on Rick's new Norse mythology series? Share your thoughts and questions in the comments below! I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible! Thanks for reading! Emory R. Frie
